Access point (AP) mode

In AP mode, Orbi steps back from managing the network and instead simply extends wifi coverage from another device — usually an ISP-provided gateway that's already acting as the router. This is the right choice if you want to keep using your ISP's router for its own reasons (like a bundled phone or TV service tied to it) while using Orbi purely to fix wifi dead zones.
