Why a guest network matters
Devices on the same wifi network can often see and interact with each other by default — which is fine for your own laptop and smart TV, but not ideal for a visitor's phone, especially if you have smart home devices, shared drives, or printers on your main network. A guest network keeps visitor devices isolated from all of that.
Setup via the app
- Open the Orbi app and go to Settings.
- Select Guest Network.
- Toggle it on and set a name and password.
- Save — the guest network is now broadcasting alongside your main one.

- Log into orbilogin.com from a device on your main network.
- Navigate to the Guest Network section.
- Enable it and configure the name and password.
- Apply the settings.
Customizing guest access
Depending on your Orbi model, you may be able to set time limits, restrict guest devices from seeing each other, or set bandwidth caps to prevent guest usage from affecting your main network's performance during heavy use.
